Fourth Consecutive Year of Glory: Queen Mary Students Win “Taihao Star Outstanding University Student” Scholarship

Recently, exciting news came from the “Taihao Star Outstanding University Student” Scholarship selection site. Queen Mary students have once again been honored for their stellar academic performance. It is worth mentioning that students of Queen Mary School have won this award for four consecutive years.

Yufan Wang, a student of Queen Mary School’s class of 2020, won the “Taihao Star Outstanding University Student” Scholarship by virtue of his excellent abilities in ideological character, academic achievement, scientific research and innovation, as well as his outstanding accomplishment with respect to the on-site defense. Yufan's award is a continuation of this honor, which fully demonstrates Queen Mary's success in cultivating comprehensive international talents.

At the same time, Zhaoyuan Li, a student in the 2021 class, was also awarded the “Taihao Star Encouragement Scholarship” for his assiduous effort and enterprising spirit.

Yufan Wang

He won direct admission to the Department of Gastroenterology of the First Affiliated Hospital of Zhejiang University. During the course of his school years, he has been awarded one national scholarship, three special scholarships, one first-class scholarship, and has won the honorary titles of “Merit Student”, and “Excellent Member of Student Union”. He has won four national awards and more than ten school-level awards in various competitions. He has published one top paper in Zone 1 and one experimental paper in Zone 2 as the first author.

Zhaoyuan Li

He has won five national awards in various competitions and the Second Prize at the College Student Art Exhibition of Jiangxi Province during the course of his school years. He has received the First-Class Scholarship from Nanchang University for three consecutive years and was honored with titles such as “Merit Student”, “Excellent Communist Youth League Member”, “Outstanding Individual in the Fight Against the Epidemic”, and "Excellent Volunteer at the World VR Industry Conference.”
