Good news! Student from Queen Mary School has once again won first prize in the "Taihao Star Outstanding University Student" scholarship

The "Taihao Star Outstanding Student" scholarship of Nanchang University concluded on November 22, 2023. Twenty candidates showcased their academic achievements in areas such as ideology, scientific competition, academic results and performance. After intense competition, Tang Zhibo, student from class of 2020 in Queen Mary School stood out among the other candidates and achieved first place. This is the third year in a row that a student from our school has won the first place, following the victories in 2021 and 2022.

During the defense phase, the student Tang Zhibo remained calm, composed, confident and positive demeanor. The entire defense process was seamless. His outstanding academic achievements and numerous competition awards truly demonstrates the spirit of excellence, active and diverse development, courage in practice, and a willingness to innovate among students at the Nanchang University Queen Mary School. He serves as an exemplary role model.

Regardless of scorching heat in August or freezing cold in December, you can always see him busy on campus. His relentlessly hard work has resulted in being ranked in the top 3% of his class, publishing three SCI papers, and receiving dozens of awards. In response to this, he remarked, "I will continue to exert my utmost efforts, exploring the frontiers and directions of interdisciplinary studies on every road with full dedication

Tang Zhibo

Student of 2020 cohort at Queen Mary School  

Tang Zhibo is the class academic commissioner and serves as the Secretary-General of the Student Learning Service Center of the Academic Affairs Office in the Medical School. In the 2022-2023 academic year, he ranked top 5% in overall performance in his cohort and has won the school's top scholarship for two consecutive years. He has participated in the publication of three SCI papers, with an average impact factor of 20.97, and one Science sub-journal is currently under review. He also holds two invention patents and one software copyright. As the project leader of a national gold award-winning project at the 8th China International "Internet+" College Students Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition, he won the national first prize for "futuristic technology" at the 18th Challenge Cup Extracurricular Academic Competition for University Students.
