Good News: Ms Liu Yuxin emerged as the top winner in Nanchang University’s 2025 “The Most Beautiful College Student” Competition!

Recently, the results of Nanchang University’s 2025 “The Most Beautiful College Student” selection were announced. After fierce competition through college recommendations, community displays, online voting, material evaluations, and on-site defenses, Liu Yuxin, a student from our school, emerged as the top winner among numerous contestants and was awarded the title of Nanchang University’s 2025 “Most Beautiful College Student”. This marks the sixth time one of our students have received this honor, demonstrating their outstanding achievements in comprehensive development across the spheres of morality, intelligence, physical fitness, aesthetics, and labor.

At the Selection Conference, Liu Yuxin took the stage with confidence and poise, sharing her five-year journey of study at Nanchang University and Queen Mary University of London. During her undergraduate years, her relentless dedication earned her accolades including the 2023 National Scholarship, the Gold Award at the 8^th China International College Students’ “Internet+” Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition, and multiple first prizes in English public speaking contests. She has published seven SCI papers (6 as sole or lead author, with two more under review). While in London, she was invited to present her research at an international academic summit—the only undergraduate participant to do so. Currently, she has been recommended for direct admission to Peking University Third Hospital’s Direct Ph.D. program with a Top Talent Scholarship, with the promise of a bright future.

Beyond Academic Excellence, Liu Yuxin has also actively engaged in social activities, earning the Provincial “Outstanding Volunteer” title. During her time in London, she obtained the OCN London Level 2, Peer Mentoring Certification through rigorous reviews, qualifying her to independently provide psychological intervention in cases of domestic violence. Through multiple volunteer initiatives, she actively promoted Chinese culture and shared Chinese anecdotes on the global stage, embodying the spirit and responsibility of Chinese youth.

Post-Selection Interview Highlights: Liu Yuxin expressed heartfelt gratitude during the interview, stating: “I am deeply thankful for the support from college leaders, teachers, and classmates—especially the six friends in my cheering squad, Dean Luo’s presence and backing, and the continuous guidance from teachers, which boosted my confidence. The school’s unique clinical-research integrated educational model and overseas exchange opportunities provided me with a solid academic foundation and boundless courage. In the future, I will continue to strive, and to showcase my potential on broader stages, to give back to the school alongside fellow outstanding students, and inspire younger peers by sharing my experiences.”
